| The Benefits Academy™ is a series of educational programs, designed by our team, intended to further the understanding of employee benefit plans for administrators and also for covered employees. These forums allow employers the opportunity of educating their employees and getting the most out of the benefit plans they offer. Academy classes include, but are not limited to, health insurance, retirement planning, life insurance, voluntary benefits and college planning.
101 – Public Education Seminars
These meetings are designed specifically for the plan participants (covered employees) of the company. Benefits Academy sessions should be done within prior to a new plan being implemented, which is the open enrollment period. These sessions give the plan participants a chance to ask questions to better understand the Insurance coverage. Often times, additionally meetings are held within the next 60 to 90 days so that the Employees are able to ask additional questions once they have started using the plan.
Retirement plan meetings and education are held in a group setting and can be done on a one on one basis per the client's request.
Additionally lunch and learns are offered on a variety of topics including but not limited to Life Insurance Planning, Voluntary benefits and College Planning.
201 – Employee Plan Education (custom built for each client)
These meetings are held between the business owner and any staff that are directly involved in the administration of the Employee Benefits. Education includes processes for plan implementation, adding/terminating employee and methodology for resolving billing and claims issues.
The intent of these meetings is to raise comfort level and overall understanding of all the employee benefit plans for the owner and plan administrator. Typically Benefits Academy 201 are held throughout at various points throughout the plan year.
301 – Client Briefings: Business Owners and Administrators
These bi-annual meetings are open to all clients as well as the public and incorporate speakers from national carriers and specialists in a variety of employee benefits arenas. The content of one of the meetings always incorporates the results obtained from The Benefits Benchmark™ , and discusses trends and costs seen throughout the Chicagoland area. |
